Cactus Car Wash

The Cactus Car Wash located on the main road in Ocala Florida has a delightful man holding a sign several days a week. My friend Donna and I see him as we travel by on our way to Curves which is located around the corner from the Cactus Car wash.

This particular man always has a funny dance while he holds the sign and swings his hat in the air. You can’t help but laugh with him as his huge smile is very welcoming!

Today we had the opportunity to catch him on video while we waited at the light. Forgive the laughter as we couldn’t help ourselves as we were “spying” on his dance!

Visit the site and get your car washed at:

Cactus Car Wash
815 S Pine Ave
Ocala, FL 34471-9804
(352) 629-1777

I’ve never had my car washed there before so I can’t tell you about the service at this point but I can tell you that they are very creative with their advertising!

That would be funny too! He does have a hat with prickles sticking out he waves in the air and sometimes wears! It is a must see when you are in town for sure because the is too funny to watch while in action! lol

I live in Jacksonville, but I have a delivery route that goes through Ocala Monday thru Friday and would see this guy almost daily. No matter what kind of day I was having seeing him would always bring a smile to my face. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that he was not out there and then last week there was a new guy holding the sign. The new guy was trying but he just didn’t have the energy of his predecessor. If the original guy got canned, I certainly hope some other business in Ocala will make use of his entertainment value and give him a shot.

    Thanks for stopping by Chris!
    Greatly appreciate the comment too.
We were wondering where he has been as well. We did see the tall guy that was “trying” but he was no comparison for sure.
I hope he is not ill or something and if we don’t see him return this week, I think we will have to call to check on him.

M.I.A.! WHERE IS OUR CACTUS MAN? Is he sick or what? We miss him on the corner! I’m sorry, but this new guy TRIES, but he just doesn’t do as good a job as the ORIGINAL cactus man! I hope he hasn’t been canned! He always brought a smile and started my day! WE MISS YOU! COME BACK SOON!

I agree with all you! he ALWAYS brightened my day…as well as all of my employees! He is most def irreplaceable. He deserved a raise:) he brought in alot of business from my employees alone. He deserves a place that will recognize his worth…I dont mean all the employees dont work very very hard but he should have been appteciated more. He was on that corner all day everyday. PAY IT FORWARD..

the dancing man was terminated and yes cactus continues to find ways to fire great employees who make to much money out of greed. all farkas owned companies have resulted in this type of practices. why not when you can find less educated people who except lower pay to attempt to do the same job others took pride in doing.
