Virtual Online Learning is a membership site that started on July 3, 2009. It came into being because of so many people that would contact me as a consultant asking questions about everything from eBay to marketing. Several had fallen into financial troubles because of contracts they signed with different websites offering assistants and charging high monthly fees.
The phone calls were overwhelming as I felt helpless that I could not help these people that were taking up so much of my time. I felt there MUST be a way I can make it reasonable so that I don’t get in financial trouble myself and yet be able to reach out to these types of people and do what I love to do and that is helping and sharing knowledge! After much research, my monthly bill with the webinar and meet-up service would run about $120.00 a month so I had a budget to work with on getting members by charging a one time, lifetime fee and adding a few additional “optional” opportunities for a small, one-time fee to offset each presentation. My idea, I knew this would work as it would allow those not interested in the sessions to pass up the offers. This would protect everyone from paying for sessions they were not interested in, unlike other sites that were charging each month and people had to pay even if the topics were not of interest.
Now today we have 113 members and we are growing strong! I am very passionate about this website as we’ve become a “team” of members! Anyone can become an assistant that is interested and help with the site! Right now we have a volunteer staff of seven on the Leadership team. We brainstorm ideas for improvement every month! Everyone is encouraged to share their business, ask questions, make suggestions and request training.
Several members are from Ocala that have taken my eBay and/or blogging classes. It’s been my pleasure to also reach out to the community sharing with many how to make a living online! Working from home online can be challenging and fun at the same time! The joy of staying home, being able to put the family first and still do our part to get the bills paid makes it all worth while!
Virtual Online Learning is MORE then just your average membership site, it is a community sharing and promoting each other. We all enjoy reaching out to our fellow “Virtualites” sharing the tricks of the trade and marketing their eBay items, blogs, twitter, facebook and websites! We pride ourselves as being an “eBay Exclusive” learning site in addition to the belief of “multiple streams of income” through education and learning styles of making money online!
Bottom line, there is NO get rich quick way of making a living. It takes hard work and dedication but at the end of the day to know you’ve done your best, you learned something new, you reached out to someone, you met a goal and have prepared for the next day, then life is good and you start all over again creating new visions for the month and the year ahead.
