Meet J’miah Nabawi
This folk and traditional storyteller has performed throughout the country, captivating audiences of all ages with his action packed stage shows. Folklore and songs abound in Nabawi’s telling of stores that include games, musical instruments, props and audience participation. Enjoy stores about Bruh Rabbit, river rocks, old raggedy blankets, sweet potatoes and more.
J’miah Nabawi will be performing at:
11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm
Art Activities:
Learn about African-American artists by making your own art. Hands-on projects include painting and collages. Create a card for an area nursing home resident.
Scavenger Hunt:
Search the museum for Scavenger Hunt artwork. All children who complete the booklet will receive a prize.
